A large segment of Internet Marketing is related to Affiliate Marketing. For many this may be the easiest step to start earning some money on the Internet.

What is affiliate Marketing?

1. a subordinate or subsidiary associate; a person who is affiliated with another or with an organization

2. a subsidiary or subordinate organization that is affiliated with another organization; "network affiliates"

When you join an affiliate site you are basically entering into a business partnership with the owner of that site, so it is important that you check out the affiliate program and what it offers. If it doesn't fit the vision you have or is not something you could see yourself using then chances are very small that it will be successful. Research in the beginning can avoid a lot of disappointment in the end. There are many affiliate programs you can join for FREE that give you full access to all the tools/products they offer, with the opportunity to upgrade once you have had time to evaluate the program (recommend - this may be a longer road to earning dollars but I believe in the long run it will have the larger reward).

Experience has taught me to be very wary of those that offer large dollars quickly. Usually the only person earning large $$$ quickly is the one who owns the affliate program or ones that bought in at the very beginning. Doesn't mean they can't be successful, but very few are. As I have stated before there is no magic button. Most of these programs require a lot of work before there is any reward. There is money to be made and if you do your research and work diligently then it can be a WIN/WIN situation for both parties.
